Journey to Healing
Joshua Washington aka JoDavi
Join us for an inspiring hour of music and storytelling with Joshua
Washington, aka JoDavi. You’ll feel all the feelings, as JoDavi leads everyone
on an emotional journey in support of Israel, sharing his unique sound known
as “symphonic soul.” If James Taylor and Bill Withers had a baby boy, nursed
it with soul and fed it R&B, this is what his voice would sound like. His music
draws on gospel, R&B, reggae, and funk. His lyrics and ideas reach the
innermost parts of our heart, caressing away hurt, and making everything
good again.
Joshua Washington is the Executive
Director of the Institute for Black Solidarity
with Israel (IBSI), promoting justice and
peace for Israel and her neighbours, as well
as a strong Africa/Israel relationship. In
the music world, he is composer, arranger,
performer and recording artist JoDavi, who
has had a celebrated career. JoDavi has
opened for Grammy-winning artists India
Arie and Anthony Hamilton, and he has
composed for film and arranged for the
Boston Pops and the Augusta Symphony
Orchestra. JoDavi’s recordings
include the full-length album Zion
and his recent EP the Vault.
